The Lightbulb Moment
Believe it or not, Swidget's story began with a power outage!
After tripping down the stairs during the Great Northeast Blackout of 2003, former International Space Station payload engineer, Lowell Misener, pondered the idea of emergency lighting systems that could be conveniently located within electrical outlets around his home. Several years (and lots of hard work) later, Swidget was born, and the company was incorporated in 2017.
Today, Swidget has grown from the world's only modular wiring device and sensor manufacturer, to an IoT-enabled data services business that provides residential and commercial smart solutions trusted by homeowners and enterprise customers alike.
