Schedule Recipe: Sunset Schedule for Outdoor Lights

Outdoor lighting is an essential part of every home and it has many benefits. It can safely light your way in the dark, create a warm welcome for guests, highlight outdoor landscape and architectural features, or even dissuade would-be criminals.
Simple control of your outdoor lighting can be done with traditional light switches or dimmers but that doesn’t help you when you are arriving home to a dark house or away on vacation. By connecting your outdoor lights to a Swidget Switch and any Wi-Fi Control Insert, you can automate them in a variety of exciting ways.
One of the most popular automations is the Sunset Schedule. With this feature, users can set their outdoor lights (or any Swidget controlled device) to automatically turn on or off at various intervals before, on, or after sunset or sunrise. This feature is synced to your location’s astronomical hours so it knows when to turn on/off the lights and it also allows you to control your outdoor lighting remotely.
Follow the Swidget Smart Recipe below to schedule your outdoor lights to come on just before sunset and turn off later that night.

This recipe turns ON your lights automatically 15 minutes before Sunset and turns them OFF at 11:00pm.

Please note that due to varying electrical code regulations, Swidget cannot give device wiring/installation advice. Please refer to the instructions that came with your product or consult a certified electrician if you need help.
